Arts University Bournemouth in Collaboration with the Russell Cotes Museum and Gallery
In the third annual collaboration between the Arts University Bournemouth and Russell-Cotes, the second year Fine Art students have bridged the gap between the past and present through their varying responses to the house and its intriguing history. Inspired by Annie and Merton’s personal collection of curiosities, the works displayed address a range of contemporary issues, with the idea of anachronism running through the exhibition. Ranging from video pieces to installations and paintings, each artist has put their own spin on an area of the house’s history that is of most importance and interest to them.
‘Anachronism’ will be open from the 20th to the 25th of March during Russell-Cotes’ usual opening hours, with the private view taking place on the evening of the 22nd of March between 6 and 8 pm.
